Little Karoo Landscapes
Available as Limited Edition Prints.
Black and White Fine Art Photography documenting the Little Karoo region of South Africa. This semi desert region, separated from the ocean by the Langeberg and the Greater Karoo by the Swartberg Range runs inland of the south eastern coastline.
A landscape of quiet, isolation and space.

The Little Karoo is a semi-desert basin held between two mountain ranges - the Langeberg closing it off from the coast to the south, the Swartberg separating it from the Greater Karoo to the north.
This is a minimal landscape if ever there was one: a place defined by space, mostly.
The series is made along its roads and passes - the R62, the Tradouw, the dirt between Barrydale and Warmwaterberg.
In a landscape this empty, a single built mark carries weight. A single light pole carries the whole of humanity in this endless starkness. A small farmhouse is an event.
That inversion is the reason I keep going back, and it is why the work is quiet: there is very little in the frame, and all of it matters.

How the Editions Work
Each work is produced in a hand-signed, numbered edition, supplied with a certificate of authenticity and a recorded provenance. Each format is its own edition, eleven at 70 × 100 cm and five at 100 × 140 cm .
Once a format closes, no further prints are made at that size.
Prints produced at other sizes for commercial and interior projects are unsigned and are not part of any edition.
Edition pricing rises as the edition sells. The price at time of enquiry is held for fourteen days.
Prices are for unframed works; framing is quoted separately, since at this size it is usually specified by the buyer or their designer. One or two artist's proofs are retained outside the edition.
