About 11H21
Where is 11H21 based and where do you work?
11H21 is the photographic studio of Alfred Lor, based between The Hague in the Netherlands and Cape Town in South Africa. Commissioned work is undertaken across both countries and internationally — architecture, reportage and editorial work has been shot across the Netherlands, South Africa, and further afield. Fine art prints from the studio's ongoing personal projects are available worldwide via this website.
What kinds of photography commissions do you take on?
The studio undertakes commissions across several disciplines: architectural and interior photography for developers, architects and design studios; documentary and reportage photography for NGOs, magazines and editorial clients; portraiture for public figures, couples and corporate clients; food and product photography for hospitality and commercial clients; and hotel and hospitality photography. Web design, SEO copywriting and social media content creation are also offered as standalone services.
How do I commission a photoshoot or start a project?
The best starting point is a brief email describing the project — what you need, when, and where. Alfred Lor works on both fixed-fee and day-rate structures depending on the scope of the project. Get in touch at studio.11h21@gmail.com or via the contact page, and a response is usually within one working day.
What fine art print series are currently available?
There are currently four main print series available: Scheveningen Urbanisms — a documentary series along the Dutch North Sea coast in The Hague; Rotterdam Streets — graphic urban studies from the city centre and waterfront; The Little Karoo — minimal landscape work from the semi-arid interior of South Africa; and Gossamer Coastline — intentional camera movement seascape work from the Cape. Each series is available in both open edition and limited edition formats.
What is the difference between an open edition and a limited edition print?
Open edition prints are produced on demand with no fixed print run — they are available to purchase directly from this website at a lower price point, printed on archival Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm paper with pigment inks, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity. Limited editions are hand-signed and numbered by Alfred Lor in a run of 11, available in larger formats, and sold exclusively through galleries or on direct request. Limited editions carry a significantly higher value and are suited to collectors and significant interior projects.
Can images be licensed for interior design or hospitality projects?
Yes. Images from the Scheveningen, Rotterdam, Karoo and Cape Town series are available to licence for commercial and hospitality interior design projects. This includes custom sizes beyond those listed in the shop, canvas and other substrate options, and multi-image licensing for larger projects. If you are an interior designer, architect or procurement specialist working on a project, get in touch directly to discuss requirements and pricing.
Are prints available framed and ready to hang?
Yes. Open edition prints are available framed in three FSC-certified Nielsen Quadrum solid wood frames — white satin, matte black, or natural oak veneer — each with UV-protective glass and hanging fittings included. Framed prints are shipped at A2 size (overall 618 × 445 mm) and arrive ready to hang. Unframed prints are also available and ship flat or rolled depending on size. All prints include a certificate of authenticity.
How long does it take to receive a print after ordering?
Each print is made to order. Prints are fulfilled by theprintspace from production labs in London, Düsseldorf or Brooklyn — whichever is closest to your delivery address — to minimise transit times. Typical delivery is approximately 6–10 working days after your order is placed. Most orders within the UK, EU and USA incur no customs or import charges due to local production. For other destinations, the recipient is responsible for any applicable duties and taxes.
